Dear  Friends

November 24th will be two years since the Murder of Sean Bell.  We are still waiting for the conviction of Sean's murderers.  I want to thank each and everyone of you for your kind words and prayers.   Sean is gone but will never be forgotten.  On November 24th, 2008 we will hold a Memorial Candlelight Vigil for Sean Bell.  The Vigil will take place at Liverpool street (Between 94th and 95th avenue) Jamaica, New York.  The start time is 11:00pm, at 4:00am to 5:00am we will light candles and ring a bell 50 times, signifying the "50 Shots" fired by the NYPD to end Seans precious life.  At 5:30am we will March to PRAISE TABERNACLE CHURCH located 108-11 Sutphin Blvd. (Between 108 Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard) Jamaica, NY.  If you are able to attend please do so, you are welcome.   My out of state friends please join us in prayer and remember Sean by lighting candles in his Honor.   We must not allow time to erase our memory for history will repeat itself. WE ARE ALL SEAN BELL.

God Bless you and your family

Nicole Paultre Bell

Peace sista.I would like to commend you for your continued faithful solidarity for the cause you continue to bring light to in the darkness that exists in this country as it relates to us a people and the King you lost to the hatred of the people who look like us. Many times we do not know who is touched by the experiences of others and how they are are touched as well. My name is Karanji Kaduma and I am young black man such as your fiancee was. Throughout the case, I was honestly very much shaken up by what happened to the young brotha who I consider to be a brotha of my own even if we may have never met. I feel this way because I realize that we as a people are all connected in many ways. Many times it seems that we would rather be unconnected to each other than to be connected. It seems we do not realize our strength in Umojo or Unity. This is not all our fault because ever since slavery we were taught to look down on ourselves and to see ourselves as less than worthy. This is why I have strived in my life to do what i can as a strong black man and as a teacher here in the inner city of Detroit to do what I can to eliminate our self-hate. There is no way that we as a whole race should not have protested this tragedy together. I know that if we had, we would have had a different result in some way after the vedict. The case as a whole has brought me to tears on several occasions and has inspired me to write and produce a song dedicated to Sean and the other brothas whose lives have been destroyed by racist and murdering cops. However, i want this song to be song that will cause us as a people to be more unified so that we may never allow something like this to occur again. I have been doing music seriously for over 5 years and as I work on my second album, I would like to include a track dedicated to your late husband as part of my album. If you have any suggestions or info that you would like to give to me to help me with this song, i would greatly appreciate it. Please visit my website www.karanji.com to learn more about me as a person. If you like, you may email me at the email address i provided above. Thank you for you time and patience.Peace, Karanji

      Nicole,
I have been following Sean's sorry from the beginning and I and still deeply saddened by what happened to him. At the time of the murder I was also engaged to be married like you. I had just 6 months to go before the big day. When I heard what happened to Sean it just broke my heart. I could not imagine going through what you are going through. To finally find the right person and to have them taken away from you, with no apologies or explanations is just wrong.
What happened to Sean has really helped me to appreciate life and my family. Tomorrow is not promise to any of us. I also want you to know that I think that you are an incredibly strong woman and to keep fighting girl! Keep fighting for justice for your husband because what happened to him is not ok. Some days will be harder than others but don't give up. I will continue to pray for you and your family and hopefully justice will be served soon!
